  • 1 pound Flank Steak sliced thinly against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch optional for thickening
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce low-sodium preferred
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar can substitute with coconut sugar
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated fresh
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers sliced, any variety
  • 1 cup Carrots sliced or diced

Method
 

Directions
  1. Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain for optimal tenderness.
  2. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger in the slow cooker.
  3. Add the sliced flank steak to the slow cooker and toss to coat in the sauce.
  4. Set the slow cooker to LOW and cook for about 3 hours.
  5. If desired, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and add for thicker sauce, cooking for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  6. Serve the beef over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
