  • 1 pound Ground Turkey can substitute with ground chicken
  • 1 package Herb-Seasoned Stuffing Mix gluten-free stuffing is an alternative
  • 3 tablespoons McCormick Simply Better Turkey Gravy homemade gravy is another option
  • 1 cup Carrots diced; bell peppers work well for a twist
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion or shallots for milder flavor
  • 1 cup Celery leeks can substitute nicely
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced; powder can be used in a pinch
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme fresh thyme brightens the taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sage can be omitted if desired
  • 2 large Eggs or flax egg for vegans
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter or olive oil for lighter fat
  • ½ cup Milk any type including non-dairy
  • to taste Kosher Salt

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add chopped onions, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 6-8 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Season vegetables with salt and pepper. Stir in 3 tablespoons of turkey gravy and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground turkey, 1 package of stuffing mix, 2 eggs, and ½ cup of milk. Fold in cooled vegetable mixture along with thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing down gently. Top with remaining turkey gravy.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF (74ºC).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with extra gravy.
