Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add chopped onions, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 6-8 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Season vegetables with salt and pepper. Stir in 3 tablespoons of turkey gravy and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground turkey, 1 package of stuffing mix, 2 eggs, and ½ cup of milk. Fold in cooled vegetable mixture along with thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing down gently. Top with remaining turkey gravy.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF (74ºC).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with extra gravy.
