Step-by-Step Instructions for Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your loaf pan.
  2. Sauté diced green bell pepper and onion in olive oil for about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Press half of the meat mixture into the base of the greased loaf pan.
  5. Layer provolone cheese slices on the meat mixture, then add sautéed peppers and onion.
  6. Seal the cheesy layer with the remaining meat mixture, pressing down gently.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until firm and golden. Add remaining cheese 5 minutes before done.
  8. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
