  • ½ tsp Dried Chili Flakes Increase to 1 tsp for more heat.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed juice is highly recommended.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the halloumi into 1 to 1.5 cm thick pieces and pat each slice dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a non-stick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Carefully add the halloumi pieces, frying for about 1-2 minutes on one side until deep golden brown.
  4. Flip each slice and repeat for another 1-2 minutes on the second side. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the hot halloumi.
  5. Using the same skillet, reduce heat to low and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, ⅓ cup of honey, and ½ teaspoon of dried chili flakes. Stir gently.
  6. Allow the mixture to warm for about 30 seconds until it starts bubbling.
  7. Plate the fried pieces on a serving dish and generously drizzle the warm hot honey over the halloumi.
  8. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves on top and serve warm.
