Step-by-Step Instructions for Savory Garlic Parmesan Scones
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 tablespoon of baking powder.
  3. Cut ½ cup of unsalted butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Rub the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 2 cloves of minced garlic into the butter-flour mixture.
  5. Gradually stir in ¾ cup of whole milk until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overwork the dough.
  6. Transfer your dough to a floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick disk. Cut into 6 wedges and arrange on the baking tray.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown and slightly risen.
  8. Let the scones cool slightly before serving them warm with butter or alongside your favorite soup or salad.
