Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Drizzle olive oil into a large skillet and place it over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet and sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened.
  3. Push the sautéed vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef.
  4. Once the beef is browned, sprinkle in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Lower the heat, place provolone cheese slices over the beef mixture, and cover to melt the cheese.
  6. Slice hoagie rolls lengthwise to create a pocket.
  7. Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture into each hoagie roll.
  8. Optionally place the sandwiches under a broiler for a minute to toast the rolls.
