Step-by-Step Instructions for Pizza Grilled Cheese
- Spread a layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread and sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning on the buttered sides.
- Lay two slices of bread in a skillet, butter-side down. Spoon a layer of sauce on each slice, followed by mozzarella and Parmesan. Add toppings and top with remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and place the sandwiches in the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden and cheese starts to melt.
- Flip the sandwiches carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes, checking for a golden crust and melted cheese.
- Remove from the skillet, cool for a minute, slice in half, and optionally garnish with basil. Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
