Step-by-Step Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts horizontally into cutlets, about 1 inch thick. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken cutlets for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Lower the heat, place mozzarella slices over the chicken, cover, and let melt for 2-3 minutes.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds, add chicken broth, scrape browned bits, then stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chopped basil to the sauce, return chicken to the skillet, and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread, generously spooning the creamy sauce on top.

Notes
Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F for juicy results. Taste as you go and adjust seasoning as needed.
