Hummus Preparation
- Begin by taking your store-bought or homemade hummus, placing it in a shallow serving dish or bowl. Use a spatula to spread the hummus evenly across the bottom, reaching all the edges.
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced cherry tomatoes, chopped cucumbers, thinly sliced red onion, sliced Kalamata olives, and pepperoncini peppers. Add minced garlic, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper for seasoning.
- Using a large spoon, generously spoon the prepared vegetable mixture over the smooth layer of hummus.
- Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil over the top of the loaded hummus and sprinkle freshly chopped herbs and a dash of sumac or paprika.
- Serve immediately with an assortment of dippers like pita chips, sliced cucumbers, and baby carrots.
