Instructions

  2. Create root beer reduction by simmering 1/4 cup of root beer in a saucepan until thickened.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Melt chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe bowl; cool slightly.
  5. Beat eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl until thick and pale.
  6. Combine melted chocolate mixture with egg mixture, then fold in dry ingredients, root beer, and root beer extract.
  7. Pour batter into baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
