Cook the Tortellini
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions, usually 3 to 5 minutes for fresh, longer for frozen. Drain, reserving some pasta cooking water.
Brown the Ground Beef
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for 6 to 7 minutes until browned.
Season the Beef
- Sprinkle in Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Create the Sauce
- Pour in beef broth, scraping the skillet to deglaze. Bring to a gentle simmer for about 3 minutes.
Stir in the Butter and Spinach
- Reduce heat to low, stir in butter until melted. Fold in spinach and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until wilted.
Combine Tortellini with Sauce
- Add drained tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook together for another 1 to 2 minutes.
Serve with Garnish
- Plate the dish, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and black pepper. Serve immediately.
