Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Start by crushing the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they become fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a mixing bowl and combine with melted butter, mixing until fully coated. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
- Spread half of the creamy cheese mixture evenly over the prepared cookie crust. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips over this layer.
- Add another layer by spreading the remaining crushed Oreo cookies over the chocolate chip layer, followed by the rest of the cream cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours, or ideally overnight.

Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for smooth filling. Spread each layer evenly for better presentation. Cut into small squares for serving, as it's quite rich.
