Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash 2-3 ripe bananas until smooth, then add 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of ground cinnamon into the banana-applesauce mixture.
  4. Add 2 cups of oats to the banana mixture and mix thoroughly.
  5. Pour in 1/3 cup of almond milk and gently fold in 1/2 cup of raisins or nuts and 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chunks.
  6. Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it.
  7. Spoon rounded portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening each slightly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
