Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, mash 2-3 ripe bananas until smooth, then add 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of ground cinnamon into the banana-applesauce mixture.
- Add 2 cups of oats to the banana mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Pour in 1/3 cup of almond milk and gently fold in 1/2 cup of raisins or nuts and 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chunks.
- Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it.
- Spoon rounded portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening each slightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Allow the cookies to cool for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
