Preparation
- Remove the frozen all-butter puff pastry from the freezer and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to thaw.
- Prepare your workspace by clearing a clean surface.
Filling Application
- Roll the thawed puff pastry into a large rectangle, about 1/8-inch thick.
- Spread cranberry sauce over one half of the pastry, leaving a margin along the edge.
- Layer slices of Brie cheese and fresh thyme leaves atop the cranberry sauce.
Twisting
- Fold the unfilled half of the pastry over the filled half, sealing the edges.
- Slice the folded pastry into strips, approximately 1-inch wide.
- Twist each strip into a spiral shape and arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill
- Place the twisted pastries in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Egg Wash
- Prepare an egg wash by whisking an egg with a teaspoon of water or milk.
- Brush the egg wash over the top of each twist.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top.
Baking
- Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Rotate the baking sheet halfway through for even browning.
Cooling
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
- Serve warm.
