Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 4 cups Shreddies Cereal Chex cereal for gluten-free alternative
  • 3 cups Mini Pretzels Regular pretzels can be used
  • 2 cups Salted Mixed Nuts Almonds or cashews can be substituted
  • 2 cups Cheese Crackers Goldfish crackers for a kid-friendly option
For the Coating
  • 1/2 cup Butter Margarine or plant-based butter can be substituted
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil Vegetable oil can be used as a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar Rice vinegar is a good alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar White wine vinegar can also be used
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Soy sauce works as a substitute
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Diced fresh onion can be used
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Italian seasoning can be swapped in
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Fresh oregano is an excellent choice
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley Optional – skip if not available
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Red Chili Flakes Adjust according to spice preference
  • 2 teaspoons Salt Adjust according to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper Optional based on preference
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Nutritional yeast as a vegan replacement

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (121°C) and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Shreddies, mini pretzels, salted mixed nuts, and cheese crackers.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, rice vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and all seasonings.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and toss everything together gently.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Once done, let it cool for about 5 minutes, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and toss.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature in a festive bowl.
