Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Buttermilk can substitute with milk mixed with vinegar
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour can use gluten-free flour
For the Coating
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs gluten-free option available
For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise can use Greek yogurt
  • 0.25 cup Sweet Chili Sauce low-sugar versions are available
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha adjust for heat level
For Assembling the Tacos
  • 8 pieces Tortillas can use corn tortillas for gluten-free
  • 2 cups Cabbage shredded
  • 1 medium Avocado optional
  • 1 lime Lime for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak peeled and deveined shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine all-purpose flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
  3. Coat each shrimp in the seasoned flour mixture, then dip in buttermilk again.
  4. Press each flour-coated shrimp into panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain fried shrimp on paper towels.
  8. Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the bang bang sauce.
  9. Assemble tacos with tortillas, shredded cabbage, crispy shrimp, avocado, and drizzle with bang bang sauce.
  10. Serve with lime wedges.
