Preparation
- Soak peeled and deveined shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Combine all-purpose flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
- Coat each shrimp in the seasoned flour mixture, then dip in buttermilk again.
- Press each flour-coated shrimp into panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
- Drain fried shrimp on paper towels.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the bang bang sauce.
- Assemble tacos with tortillas, shredded cabbage, crispy shrimp, avocado, and drizzle with bang bang sauce.
- Serve with lime wedges.
